First Lip Sync

Cross your fingers, I'm going to upload a video. It has some glitches. The first part is cut off (bad, bad Photoshop!) and the last part is held. First try at sound and lip sync. Work in progress.

Purdey Good What?

The name "Purdey Good Arts" comes from my niece, Melissa McLaughlin. In 1980, I brought home a cat and named her Purdey after a character on "The New Avengers" with an "e" like that character's name was spelled. My sister Diane, her children Melissa, Starlet and Shannon were there when I brought home the kitty. Melissa said "Your cat's name is Purdey and your name is Good, so you know she's Purdey Good." I hadn't thought of that any more than my parents thought "Hope Good" would be for me (and now I live near Good Hope Road in Milwaukee...it never ends!) So, when I had to come up with a title card for animation classes, I put a black cat with wings as my logo and called it "Purdey Good Art!" Sometimes I make a pun on that such as "Purdey Good Art Gone Bad!" on the title card. Purdey has long gone to kitty heaven, with her roomate, Ditto. Cami and Bear, my new cats since 1999, have themselves in animation, too. Bear was characterized in the "ball roll" exercise, and Cami (who's original owner named Cameo) is on Gracie's cameo in my final for Drawing for Animation class.
